On Wednesday, July 2, a group of volunteers and board members for the Wishes for Children Foundation celebrated a Sweet Sixteen birthday. The foundation dedicated the day to a local teenager, Brianne, who has Cystic Fibrosis. Brianne is currently scheduled to undergo a lung transplant that will not cure her disease, but make the rest of her life a little more comfortable and hopefully, a lot longer. Brianne is a Temecula Valley High School student who unfortunately missed most of last semester to her illness. In and out of the hospital, Brianne's last trip home was with an oxygen tank and a wheelchair. A little embarrassed about going out in public, Brianne has not visited the mall or gone to see a movie in months. Copyright 2007-2009 Wishes For Children Foundation |
